Ingredients
  

Dough Ingredients
  • 1 cup cottage cheese Make sure it's well-drained for better texture
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup almond flour Can substitute with all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder Can be substituted with other spices
Topping Ingredients
  • 2 tbsp melted butter Adds great taste and keeps knots moist
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley Optional, for garnish
  • 2 tbsp shredded mozzarella or Parmesan Optional, for topping

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together the cottage cheese, egg, almond flour, baking powder, salt, and garlic powder until everything is well combined.
  3. Shape the dough into small knots and place them on a baking sheet.
  4. Brush the knots with melted butter and sprinkle on cheese if desired.
Baking
  1. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the knots are golden brown.
Serving
  1. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
