Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • ½ cup butter (sliced)
  • 12 oz mini marshmallows Ensure marshmallows are fresh for the best results.
  • as needed Green food coloring Can substitute with a mix of yellow and blue or use white for an alternative look.
  • 5 cups cornflakes
  • 30 red M&M's or red hot candy For decoration.

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by lining a sheet pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large microwave-safe mixing bowl, place the butter and mini marshmallows. Microwave on high for 1 minute, stir, and continue to microwave until all the marshmallows are melted, about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Stir in a few drops of green food coloring until you reach a lovely leaf green hue.
  4. Gently fold the cornflakes into the melted marshmallow mixture until they are evenly coated.
  5. Wet your hands slightly to prevent sticking, then form the mixture into 3-inch disks with holes in the middle to create wreath shapes.
  6. Stick three red M&M's together to mimic holly berries and place them in the center of each wreath.
  7. Place your decorated wreaths in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to set.

Notes

These wreaths are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. In humid areas, consider refrigeration to maintain crunch. Optionally, wrap well in plastic before freezing.
