Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, sugar, and baking powder. Mix to distribute evenly.
- Add the milk, eggs, and vanilla to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to over-mix!
- Gently fold in the melted butter until the mixture is smooth, then pour it into the prepared pan.
Cinnamon Swirl
- In a separate bowl, combine the softened butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and optional nuts to create the filling.
- Drop spoonfuls of this filling over the batter and use a knife to swirl it into the cake.
Baking
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean.
- While the cake is baking, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla for the glaze.
- Once out of the oven, drizzle the glaze over the warm cake, letting it soak in.
- Allow it to cool slightly before slicing and enjoying.

Notes
