Ingredients

For the Taco Shells
  • 6 pieces flour tortillas Can substitute with corn tortillas or crepes.
  • 1-2 cups vegetable oil For frying.
For the Coating
  • 1/4 cup ground cinnamon For coating.
  • 1/2 cup sugar For coating.
For the Filling
  • canned whipped cream To fill the tacos.
  • fresh strawberries Sliced, can substitute with other fruits.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium heat.
  2. While the oil heats, slice your strawberries into bite-size pieces and set them aside.
  3. In a bowl, mix the ground cinnamon and sugar, and set this sweet mixture aside.
Cooking
  1. Once the oil is hot, carefully lay a tortilla in the oil. Fry it for about one minute on one side.
  2. Using tongs, gently fold the tortilla in half, shaping it like a taco. Keep frying until both sides are golden brown.
  3. Remove the crispy tortillas and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to absorb any extra oil.
  4. While they are still warm, toss each shell in the cinnamon-sugar blend until fully coated.
  5. Once the tacos are cool enough to handle, fill them generously with whipped cream and top with strawberries or your fruit of choice.
