Main Ingredients
  • 2.5 cups whole wheat flour, spooned and leveled
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter microwave for 20 seconds if thick
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1 medium ripe banana, mashed
  • 1 extra-large egg, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2/3 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1.5 tablespoons honey for frosting
  • to taste red and green gel food coloring for decoration

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, mix the whole wheat flour.
  3. If your peanut butter is thick, warm it in the microwave for about 20 seconds to soften it.
  4. Add the creamy peanut butter, water, mashed banana, beaten egg, and honey to the flour. Stir until well combined.
  5. Dust your work surface with flour and roll the dough out to about 1/4 inch thickness.
  6. Use cookie cutters to create festive shapes and place them on your baking sheet, giving each one about an inch of space.
Baking
  1. Bake for 18-20 minutes, checking for doneness at the 15-minute mark.
  2. Once done, transfer the treats to a cooling rack and allow them to cool completely.
  3. In a bowl, blend Greek yogurt, cornstarch, and honey until smooth to make the frosting.
  4. Divide the frosting into three bowls, adding food coloring to two.
  5. Fill piping bags with the frosting and decorate the treats.
  6. Allow the frosting to harden before serving to your eager pup.
