Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment.
- In a large bowl, cream the softened butter with the granulated and brown sugars until light and fluffy, about 2–3 minutes with an electric mixer.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating briefly after each. Stir in the vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and holiday sprinkles. Press the reserved sprinkles lightly onto the surface.
- Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan.
Baking
- Bake for 25–30 minutes until edges are golden, and a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before lifting out and cutting into bars.

Notes
