  • 1 kg mixed fruit A combination of dried fruits.
  • 1 pack glacé cherries
  • 2 cups chocolate milk Can be substituted with regular milk for a lighter flavor.
  • 0.5-0.75 cup Baileys Adjust to taste; can be substituted with a non-alcoholic version.
  • 2 cups self-raising flour Can be replaced with a gluten-free alternative.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 160°C (320°F).
  2. Combine the mixed fruit and glacé cherries in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Pour in the chocolate milk and Baileys, mixing them until well blended.
  4. Gradually add the self-raising flour, mixing until you have a smooth batter.
  5. Transfer the batter into a greased cake pan, ensuring it's evenly spread.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 1.5 hours, or until a skewer comes out clean.
  7. Cool before serving and enjoy.
