  • 1 pound ziti noodles Choose your favorite brand.
  • 24 ounces pasta sauce Your favorite variety.
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese Divided for layering.
  • 15 ounces ricotta cheese Can be substituted with cottage cheese.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large pot, cook the ziti noodles according to the package instructions. Drain them and return to the pot.
  3. In a separate large bowl, mix half of the shredded mozzarella, the ricotta cheese, and the pasta sauce until fully combined.
  4. Stir the cooked noodles into the cheese and sauce mixture until every piece is well coated.
  5. Spray a large baking dish with nonstick spray. Pour the pasta mixture into the dish, spreading it evenly.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
