  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder for that rich chocolatey flavor
  • 2 tsp cinnamon adds warmth to the filling

  • 1 cup warm milk ensure it's warm but not hot
  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast or instant yeast as a substitute

  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder for the filling
  • 2 tsp cinnamon for the filling

Method

Preparing the Dough
  1. Mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast in a bowl. Allow it to sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, and cinnamon.
  3. Pour the yeast mixture and melted butter into the dry ingredients, stirring until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5–7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.
Assembling the Rolls

  2. Spread softened butter on the dough and sprinkle with brown sugar, cocoa powder, and cinnamon mixture.
