Preparing the Dough
- Mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast in a bowl. Allow it to sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
- In a separate bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, and cinnamon.
- Pour the yeast mixture and melted butter into the dry ingredients, stirring until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5–7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.
Assembling the Rolls
- Roll out the dough into a rectangular shape.
- Spread softened butter on the dough and sprinkle with brown sugar, cocoa powder, and cinnamon mixture.
- Roll the dough tightly into a log and slice it into 12 equal rolls.
- Arrange rolls in a greased baking pan.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow rolls to cool slightly before glazing if desired.
