  • 1 lb chicken breast, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Gather all your ingredients including the chicken, mushrooms, onions, garlic, and spices.
Cooking Chicken
  1. Heat oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chicken slices and brown on both sides. Remove the chicken and set aside.
Making the Sauce
  1. In the same skillet, add onions and garlic and sauté until the onions become translucent, about 2-3 minutes.
  2. Next, add the mushrooms, cooking until they begin to brown and release their juices.
  3. Sprinkle the flour over the mushrooms and stir to combine, cooking for an additional 1-2 minutes to remove the raw flour taste.
  4. Gradually pour in the chicken broth, stirring constantly to create a smooth sauce.
Combining Ingredients
  1. Return the chicken to the skillet, reduce the heat to low, and let it simmer for about 10 minutes.
  2. Stir in the sour cream and paprika, seasoning with salt and pepper. Cook for an additional 5 minutes until the sauce thickens and the chicken is cooked through.
  3. Serve warm over cooked egg noodles or rice, and garnish with fresh parsley.
