Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F and set aside 2 tablespoons of crumbled bacon for later.
- In a large bowl, combine cooked chicken, most of the crumbled bacon, sour cream, cream of chicken soup, ranch seasoning mix, and shredded cheddar cheese. Mix until well combined.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and spread it evenly.
- Top with a single layer of frozen tater tots.
Baking
- Bake in the oven for about 40 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and the casserole is bubbling.
- Once done, sprinkle with the reserved bacon crumbles and fresh green onions.
Serving
- Serve hot from the oven, optionally with a side salad or steamed vegetables.
