Marinating the Chicken
- Start by marinating the chicken in soy sauce, cornstarch, and pepper. Let it sit for about 10 minutes.
Cooking
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sauté the onion for 2-3 minutes until it softens, then add garlic and cook for another minute.
- Toss in the marinated chicken and stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes until cooked through.
- Add the shredded cabbage, water, brown sugar, and sesame oil. Mix well and continue to stir-fry until the cabbage is tender but still crisp.
