  • 1/2 head cabbage, shredded
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce (use tamari for gluten-free option) for gluten-free, use tamari
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch ensure gluten-free if needed
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

Marinating the Chicken
  1. Start by marinating the chicken in soy sauce, cornstarch, and pepper. Let it sit for about 10 minutes.
Cooking
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Sauté the onion for 2-3 minutes until it softens, then add garlic and cook for another minute.
  3. Toss in the marinated chicken and stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes until cooked through.
  4. Add the shredded cabbage, water, brown sugar, and sesame oil. Mix well and continue to stir-fry until the cabbage is tender but still crisp.
  5. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper. Serve hot!
