For the base
  • 6 slices thick-cut Texas toast bread

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the softened butter, minced garlic, garlic powder, dried oregano, and dried parsley until well combined.
  3. Spread a generous amount of the garlic butter mixture on one side of each slice of bread, making sure to coat the edges as well.
Baking
  1. Place the buttered slices on the prepared baking sheet, buttered side up.
  2. Sprinkle an even layer of mozzarella, cheddar, and Parmesan cheese over each slice.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the edges of the bread are golden brown.
  4. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired.
  5. Serve warm. For extra crispiness, you can broil for the last 1-2 minutes, watching closely to avoid burning.
