  • 1 pound Ground beef (at least 85% lean) Can substitute with ground turkey or chicken.
  • 1 packet Taco seasoning mix Homemade or store-bought.
  • 1 tube Pizza dough Pillsbury tube or fresh bakery dough.
  • 5 sticks Colby Jack and cheddar cheese sticks Cut in half.
  • 2 tablespoons Real butter Melted.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Dried parsley

Method
 

Preparation and Cooking
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F and prepare a large baking sheet with nonstick spray.
  2. In a skillet over medium high heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Mix in the taco seasoning and let the mixture cool.
  4. Roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle and slice it into ten small rectangles.
  5. Spoon a portion of the taco meat onto each rectangle, top with half of a cheese stick, then roll them up tightly.
  6. In a small bowl, mix melted butter, garlic powder, and parsley together. Brush this mixture over each rolled taco stick.
  7. Place the taco sticks on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Let the taco sticks cool for a minute before serving.

Notes
