Pasta and Sauce Ingredients

  • 12 oz pasta (linguine or penne)
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 lb peeled shrimp
  • 1 Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes

  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Cook the pasta according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  • In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat, then add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute.
  • Stir in the peeled shrimp and cook until they turn pink, approximately 2–3 minutes.
  • Add the lemon juice, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper to the skillet.
  • Stir in the Parmesan and mozzarella cheese, then pour in the heavy cream and let it melt.
  • Toss in the cooked pasta and mix everything well.

Baking

  • Transfer the mixture to the greased baking dish and top it with some additional mozzarella and Parmesan.
  • Bake uncovered for 15–20 minutes until it is bubbly and golden on top.
  • Let it rest for about 5 minutes before serving warm.

Notes

Make sure not to overcook the shrimp as they can become tough. Consider adding chopped fresh herbs like parsley or basil for extra flavor. For spice enthusiasts, increase the amount of red pepper flakes or add fresh chili for a kick. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to a month.
