Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the diced potatoes, chopped onion, diced ham, half of the shredded cheese, cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, and pepper. Mix until well blended.
- Transfer the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheese on top and add breadcrumbs if desired.
Cooking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes or until the potatoes are tender and the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes
