  • 2 heads cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 5 pieces eggs
  • 1.5 cups heavy cream
  • 1.5 teaspoons salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 cups shredded white cheddar cheese
  • 0.5 cups grated parmesan cheese
  • 0.5 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 0.5 cups grated parmesan cheese for topping additional

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. Cut the cauliflower into florets and blanch them in boiling salted water for 5 minutes; then drain.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Assembly
  1. Place the cauliflower in the greased baking dish and pour the egg mixture over the top.
  2. Drizzle melted butter over everything, then add the cheddar, parmesan, and mozzarella cheese on top.
Baking
  1. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  2. Remove the foil, sprinkle the remaining parmesan cheese on top, and bake uncovered for an additional 15-20 minutes until it is golden and bubbly.
Serving
  1. Let it cool slightly before serving, and you can garnish with herbs if you like.
