Ingredients
  

Wet Ingredients
  • 3/4 cup butter (divided) 1/2 cup for the dough, 1/4 cup for brushing
  • 1 cup whole milk
Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp chives (divided) 1 tsp for dough, 1 tsp for topping
  • 1 tsp dried parsley for topping
Mix-ins
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 10 slices bacon (cooked and chopped) crispy bacon enhances flavor

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F and prepare a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium microwave-safe bowl, melt 1/2 cup of butter and set it aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, garlic powder, and salt.
  4. Pour the milk into the melted butter, add 1 tsp of chives, and stir well.
  5. Combine the milk mixture with the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
Mixing
  1. Fold in the shredded cheese, the remaining 1 tsp of chives, and the bacon until evenly distributed.
  2. Spoon the dough onto the prepared baking sheet in 1/2 cup-sized portions.
Baking
  1. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the biscuits are just barely golden brown.
  2. In a small mixing bowl, melt the remaining 1/4 cup of butter. Stir in the parsley and brush this mixture over the tops of the biscuits once they come out of the oven.
  3. Enjoy your warm, cheesy treats!
