Preparation

  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract, blending until fully combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until you form a soft dough.
  6. If desired, fold in any optional mix-ins like white chocolate chips or crushed Oreos.
  7. Scoop tablespoon-sized dough balls onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about two inches apart.
Baking
  1. Bake for 9–11 minutes, ensuring the edges are set while the centers remain soft.
  2. Allow them to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
