Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove from the skillet, crumble, and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add chopped onion and ground beef. Cook until the beef is browned and the onions are translucent. Drain any excess grease.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked beef mixture with crumbled bacon, cheddar cheese, Pepperjack cheese, Bisquick Baking Mix, milk, eggs, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Pour the mixture into a greased pie dish or casserole dish.
Cooking
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Serve with a crisp green salad, air-fried sweet potato fries, jalapeño ranch, or a dollop of sour cream for extra flavor. For a richer taste, use rendered bacon fat to sauté the onions. Experiment with cheese substitutions and add minced garlic or diced bell peppers for additional flavor.
