Method
Activation
- In a medium-sized bowl, combine the warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for about 5 minutes, or until it becomes foamy.
Dough Preparation
- Add olive oil, flour, and salt to the yeast mixture. Stir until a dough forms.
- Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes until smooth.
First Rise
- Place your kneaded dough into a greased bowl, cover it with a kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.
Preheat Oven
- While the dough is rising, preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Filling
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle, brush with melted butter, then sprinkle with minced garlic and shredded cheese evenly.
Forming Rolls
- Roll the dough tightly into a log shape. Cut it into pieces (about 1-2 inches thick).
Second Rise
- Place the rolls on a baking sheet, cover them again, and let them rise for another 15 minutes.
Baking
- Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes or until they’re golden brown.
Garnishing
- Once out of the oven, sprinkle with chopped parsley for a fresh touch and serve warm.
