Ingredients
  

Dough Ingredients
  • 1 cup warm water not hot
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour Feel free to substitute with gluten-free flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
Filling Ingredients
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup shredded cheese mozzarella, cheddar, or your favorite blend
  • as needed Parsley for garnish optional

Method
 

Activation
  1. In a medium-sized bowl, combine the warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for about 5 minutes, or until it becomes foamy.
Dough Preparation
  1. Add olive oil, flour, and salt to the yeast mixture. Stir until a dough forms.
  2. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes until smooth.
First Rise
  1. Place your kneaded dough into a greased bowl, cover it with a kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.
Preheat Oven
  1. While the dough is rising, preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Filling
  1. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, brush with melted butter, then sprinkle with minced garlic and shredded cheese evenly.
Forming Rolls
  1. Roll the dough tightly into a log shape. Cut it into pieces (about 1-2 inches thick).
Second Rise
  1. Place the rolls on a baking sheet, cover them again, and let them rise for another 15 minutes.
Baking
  1. Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes or until they’re golden brown.
Garnishing
  1. Once out of the oven, sprinkle with chopped parsley for a fresh touch and serve warm.

Notes
