Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your baking dish.
- In a large bowl, combine oats, flour, brown sugar, baking soda, and salt.
- Work the butter into the dry mix until crumbly.
- Press half the crumb mixture into the bottom of your baking dish.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over the crust.
- Pour caramel sauce over the chocolate chips.
- Sprinkle the remaining crumb mixture over the caramel layer.
Baking
- Place in the oven for about 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let it cool before cutting into squares to allow the caramel to set a bit.
