  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • a pinch nutmeg
  • Brie cheese Brie cheese for topping Feel free to swap for another soft cheese like Camembert.
  • to taste toasted pecans For added crunch.
  • to taste maple syrup For drizzling.
  • to taste fresh thyme For garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. Core the apples and arrange them in a baking dish.
  4. Drizzle the butter mixture over the apples, ensuring they are well coated.
Baking
  1. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the apples are tender and caramelized.
  2. In the final 5 minutes of baking, add slices of Brie on top of the apples and let them melt.
Serving
  1. Sprinkle with toasted pecans, drizzle with maple syrup, and garnish with fresh thyme before serving.
