Ingredients
Method
Preparation
- Pat the steak cubes and shrimp dry with paper towels.
- Season the steak with 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning, plus salt and pepper.
- Season the shrimp with the remaining Cajun seasoning and a pinch of salt.
- Mince the garlic, dice the red bell pepper, and slice the yellow onion so everything’s ready to move fast at the stove.
Cooking
- Heat a large skillet or cast-iron pan over medium-high heat until very hot. Add 1½ tablespoons olive oil.
- Add steak cubes in a single layer without crowding. Sear 1–2 minutes per side for medium-rare. Remove steak to a plate and let rest briefly.
- Reduce heat to medium, add the remaining olive oil to the pan. Add sliced onion and diced red pepper. Sauté 3–4 minutes until softened.
- Push vegetables to the side, add butter and minced garlic to the pan. Stir garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add shrimp in a single layer and cook 1–2 minutes per side until opaque and pink.
- Return the steak to the pan, toss everything together, and cook 30–60 seconds to meld flavors.
- Turn off heat, sprinkle chopped parsley, and serve with lemon wedges.
