Ingredients
  

For the Cajun seasoning

  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning (to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper

For the salmon

  • 4 pieces salmon fillets Use fresh salmon for best flavor.
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter Must be softened for mixing.
  • 1/3 cup honey

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Mix all the Cajun seasoning ingredients together in a bowl.
  • Beat the butter for 2 minutes using an electric hand mixer until light and fluffy.
  • Blend the honey into the butter and create a smooth mix with the Cajun seasoning.
  • Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel, then season with salt and pepper after rubbing with oil.

Cooking

  • Cook the salmon for 6-8 minutes on each side on a preheated grill or grill pan until opaque and crusty.
  • Once cooked, generously spread the Cajun Honey Butter over each fillet.
  • Let the butter melt for about 30 seconds before spreading it evenly with the back of a spoon.

Notes

Serve Cajun Honey Butter Salmon hot from the grill with vegetables, salad, or rice. Garnish with lemon for extra flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
