Ingredients
  

Vegetables
  • 1 large cabbage
  • 2 small onions, diced
  • 1 large celery, chopped very small
  • 2 cans stewed tomatoes
Meat
  • 1-2 pounds ground beef May be omitted for a vegetarian version.
Soup Mix
  • 1 pouch Lipton Onion Soup Mix Any flavor can be used.
Spices (optional)
  • Spices of choice Add for extra flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Fill a large saucepan halfway with water and bring it to a boil.
  2. Add the cabbage, onions, and celery to the boiling water. Reduce the heat and let it simmer.
  3. In a separate pan, cook the ground beef over medium heat until it’s browned. Drain any fat.
  4. Add the cooked ground beef and Lipton Onion Soup Mix to the simmering vegetables.
Cooking
  1. If desired, add any spices you like at this point.
  2. Allow the soup to simmer for a few more minutes until all the flavors blend together.
  3. Taste the soup and adjust the seasoning if necessary.

Notes
