Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb Ground beef or turkey Feel free to use plant-based meat for a vegetarian version.
  • 2 cups White rice (cooked) You can substitute quinoa.
  • 4 cups Chopped cabbage
  • 1 large Onion Chopped.
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced.
  • 15 oz Tomato sauce To taste.
  • 14.5 oz Diced tomatoes To taste.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground meat over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Add chopped onions and garlic to the skillet, cooking until translucent.
  4. Mix in the cooked rice, chopped cabbage, tomato sauce, and diced tomatoes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Baking
  1. Spoon the mixture into a baking dish and top with extra tomato sauce if desired.
  2. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes for a nice crust.
