  • 1 pound ground beef Lean ground beef is recommended.
  • 1 small head cabbage, shredded Finely chopped for even cooking.
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup beef broth Use low-sodium if preferred.
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat, breaking it up into small pieces.
  3. Remove cooked beef from the skillet and set it aside.
  4. Sauté diced onion and minced garlic in the same skillet until fragrant and translucent.
  5. Add shredded cabbage to the skillet and cook until it starts to wilt.
  6. Pour in diced tomatoes, beef broth, paprika, dried thyme, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
  7. Simmer the mixture for about 10 minutes to allow flavors to meld together.
  8. Stir the cooked ground beef back into the skillet.
Baking
  1. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish, cover with foil, and bake for 30 minutes.
  2. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes to brown the top slightly.
  3. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
