Ingredients
  

  • 2 large eggs
  • 125 grams of flour
  • 125 grams of sugar
  • ½ cup of vegetable oil
  • ½ cup of milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla or orange essence
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon of salt
  • Preheat and Prepare: Start by preheating your oven to 180°C 356°F. Line your cake pan or shortbread mold with paper cups.

Method
 

Mix Dry Ingredients:
  1. In a bowl, combine the flour and baking powder. Set aside.
Cream Eggs and Sugar:
  1. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  2. Incorporate Wet Ingredients: Add the milk and vanilla/orange essence to the egg mixture, blending until smooth.
Add Oil:
  1. Gradually add the vegetable oil to the mixture, mixing slowly until it's well incorporated.
  2. Combine with Dry Ingredients: Gently fold in the flour mixture and salt, mixing until just combined. Let the batter rest for 15 minutes.
  3. Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for approximately 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  1. Allow the cake to cool for a few minutes before serving. Then, savor your delicious homemade butter cake!

Notes

Ensure the cake pan is properly lined with paper cups to prevent sticking.
