Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter Use quality butter for better taste.
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour Can substitute with whole wheat flour for extra fiber.
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips Can use dark chocolate chips for a richer flavor.
  • 1 cup nuts (optional) Can be replaced with your favorite candy for variations.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, melt the butter. Mix in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until everything is nicely combined.
  3. Slowly add the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Stir until just combined to avoid overmixing.
  4. Gently fold in the chocolate chips and nuts, if desired.
  5. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs attached.
  7. Allow the bars to cool completely before slicing them into squares or rectangles.
