Ingredients

Lobster Ingredients
  • 2 pieces lobster tails (Fresh or fully thawed if previously frozen, 6–8 oz each)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced (Or 1–1.5 teaspoons jarred minced garlic) Fresh is preferred for best flavor
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice (Fresh preferred)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
  • Chopped parsley (for garnish)

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the Broiler: Begin by setting your broiler to high, ensuring it’s nice and hot by the time you put the lobster in.
  2. Prepare the Lobster: Carefully cut the tops of the lobster tails lengthwise using kitchen scissors, exposing the meat. Gently pry the meat up, resting it on top of the shell.
  3. Make Garlic Butter: In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Stir in the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Stir in the lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
Cooking
  1. Broil: Place the lobster tails on a broiler pan. Brush the garlic butter generously over the lobster meat. Broil for 8-10 minutes or until the meat is opaque and lightly browned.
  2. Serve: Remove from the oven and drizzle any remaining garlic butter over the lobster. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For a restaurant-quality touch, serve the lobster tails on a bed of buttered linguine or along with grilled asparagus for a colorful plate. A crisp, green salad dressed with a light vinaigrette pairs beautifully. To store leftovers, allow them to cool and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
