  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 cup water
Flavor Enhancers
  • 1 tablespoon dried herbs like rosemary or thyme; feel free to experiment!
  • to taste seeds for topping sesame or poppy seeds add a lovely crunch!

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, and salt.
  3. Add the olive oil and water, combining everything until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough for a few minutes on a floured surface until it becomes smooth.
  5. Roll out the dough thinly, aiming for about 1/8-inch thickness.
  6. Cut the rolled dough into your desired shapes—squares, triangles, or fun shapes for kids.
  7. Place the cut crackers on a lined baking sheet.
  8. Sprinkle with your choice of dried herbs and seeds for added flavor.
  9. Bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until they are golden brown.
  10. Allow them to cool before indulging in your newfound snack!

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. For longer freshness, consider freezing them completely cool before sealing.
