  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch salt

Equipment

  • Medium Saucepan
  • Whisk

Method

  1. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Whisk in the cocoa powder and flour until the mixture is well combined and starts to bubble from the heat.
  3. Gradually whisk in the sugar until thoroughly combined.
  4. Slowly pour in the milk, whisking constantly to prevent lumps from forming. Continue cooking over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens to a gravy consistency.

  6. Spoon the chocolate gravy over freshly baked biscuits.
