Cooking Ground Beef:
- Place ground beef into a sauté pan and cook until meat is browned.
- Drain grease from the cooked ground beef.
Preparing Salad Base:
- Wash and chop iceberg lettuce. Place into a large bowl.
- Dice the tomatoes and add them to the bowl of lettuce. Toss to combine.
- Dice the pickles, looking for thicker slices, and add them to the bowl.
- Chop the red onion and add it to the bowl as well.
Assembling Salad:
- Add the cooked ground beef to the bowl and toss everything together using salad tongs.
Serving:
- Serve the salad topped with thousand island dressing.
- Optional: Top with a sprinkle of sesame seeds and/or shredded cheese for added flavor and texture.
