  • - 1 cup white sugar
  • - 2 eggs
  • - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • - ⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • - ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • - ¼ teaspoon salt
  • - ¼ teaspoon baking powder
  • Frosting:
  • - 3 tablespoons butter softened
  • - 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • - 1 tablespoon honey
  • - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • - 1 cup confectioners' sugar

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8-inch square pan.
  2. In a large saucepan, melt 1/2 cup butter. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, eggs, and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Beat in cocoa, flour, salt, and baking powder. Spread batter into prepared pan.
  3. Bake until top is dry and edges start to pull away from the pan, about 25 to 30 minutes. Let cool briefly.
  4. For the frosting:
  5. Combine softened butter, confectioners' sugar, 3 tablespoons cocoa, honey, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract in a bowl.
  6. Stir until smooth, then frost brownies while still warm.
