  • 1 lb Tender chunks of beef For the best flavor.
  • 2 cups White button mushrooms Enhance the flavor.
  • 1 medium Onion, chopped
  • 2 stalks Celery, chopped
  • 2 medium Carrots, chopped
  • 4 cups Beef broth The heart of the soup.
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced For aromatic flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce Adds depth and umami.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper To season to taste.
  • 2 cups Egg noodles They absorb the broth beautifully.

Method
 

Cooking
  1. Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add the beef chunks and sear them until they’re browned on all sides.
  3. Toss in the chopped onion, celery, carrots, and garlic. Cook until the vegetables are tender.
  4. Pour in the beef broth and bring it to a rolling boil.
  5. Stir in the white button mushrooms and soy sauce, then reduce the heat. Simmer for about 30 minutes.
  6. Add the egg noodles to the pot, cooking until they're tender.
  7. Season with pepper to taste, and serve hot to enjoy!
