  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 medium tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon curry powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 cup water
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and sauté until it’s soft and translucent.
  3. Toss in the minced garlic and ginger, cooking them for another minute until fragrant.
  4. Introduce the ground beef, stirring it until it’s browned.
  5. Add the chopped tomatoes, curry powder, cumin, and salt, mixing everything well.
  6. Pour in the water, bringing it to a gentle simmer. Let it cook for about 15-20 minutes.
  7. Finish by garnishing fresh cilantro before serving. Pair with hot rice or fluffy naan for a satisfying meal.
