For the mashed potatoes
  • 4 large Potatoes Peeled and chopped
  • 4 tablespoons Butter Use for mashing

For the sausages and gravy
  • 8 links Sausages High-quality for best flavor
  • 2 medium Onions Sliced for caramelizing
  • 2 cups Beef or vegetable stock For making gravy
  • 2 tablespoons Flour To thicken gravy

Method
 

Preparation of Mashed Potatoes
  1. Peel and chop the potatoes.
  2. Boil the potatoes in a pot of salted water until tender.
  3. Drain the water and mash the potatoes with butter and milk.
Cooking the Sausages and Gravy
  1. Heat a skillet and cook the sausages until browned and cooked through.
  2. In the same skillet, add sliced onions and cook until caramelized.
  3. Sprinkle flour over the cooked onions and stir for about a minute.
  4. Gradually add stock, stirring constantly until the gravy thickens.
  5. Season gravy with salt and pepper to taste.
Serving
  1. Serve sausages on top of mashed potatoes and drizzle with onion gravy.
