Ingredients
  

For the Bangers and Mash
  • 4 pieces Sausages (bangers) Use your favorite type of sausages; pork, chicken, or vegetarian options work well.
  • 2 pounds Potatoes Use for mashing.
  • 4 tablespoons Butter For mashing potatoes.
  • 1/2 cup Milk For creamier mashed potatoes.
For the Onion Gravy
  • 2 pieces Onions Sliced for caramelizing.
  • 2 cups Beef or vegetable stock For gravy base.
  • 3 tablespoons Flour To thicken the gravy.
  • to taste Salt For seasoning.
  • to taste Pepper For seasoning.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Peel and chop the potatoes. Boil them in a pot of salted water until tender.
  2. Once ready, drain the potatoes and mash them with butter and milk until creamy.
Cooking
  1. In a skillet, cook the sausages until browned and cooked through.
  2. In the same skillet, add sliced onions and cook until caramelized and golden.
  3. Sprinkle in flour and stir for about a minute, then gradually add stock while stirring until thickened.
  4. Season the gravy with salt and pepper to taste.
Assembly
  1. Serve the sausages on top of mashed potatoes and drizzle with onion gravy.

Notes
