Ingredients
  

For the Bangers and Mash
  • 4 pieces Sausages (bangers) Use high-quality sausages for the best flavor.
  • 2 pounds Potatoes Russet or Yukon Gold potatoes are great for mashing.
  • 4 tablespoons Butter Add more if desired for creaminess.
  • 1/2 cup Milk Add more if the mashed potatoes are too thick.
For the Onion Gravy
  • 2 large Onions Slice thinly.
  • 2 cups Beef or vegetable stock Choose according to preference.
  • 2 tablespoons Flour To thicken the gravy.
  • to taste Salt Adjust based on stock used.
  • to taste Pepper Freshly ground is recommended.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Peel and chop the potatoes. Boil them in a pot of salted water until tender, then drain and mash with butter and milk.
  2. In a skillet, cook sausages until browned and cooked through.
  3. In the same skillet, add sliced onions and cook until caramelized.
Gravy Making
  1. Sprinkle in flour and stir for about a minute.
  2. Gradually add the beef or vegetable stock, stirring until the gravy thickens. Season with salt and pepper.
Serving
  1. Serve sausages on mashed potatoes and drizzle with onion gravy.

Notes
