Ingredients
  

For the Pasta:
  • 1 lb of spaghetti or your favorite pasta of choice
For the Protein:
  • 1 1/2 lbs of medium shrimp peeled and deveined
  • or 1 pound boneless chicken, chopped
For the Seasoning:
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 3 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped
  • Black pepper to taste
For the Sauce:
  • 1/2 cup Hellmans mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup Thai sweet chili sauce in the Asian aisle
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 tablespoon onion powder

Equipment

Method
 

Preparing the Sauce:
  1. In a large bowl, mix all 'sauce' ingredients together, then set aside.
Cooking Pasta:
  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions, then drain.
Seasoning Shrimp/Chicken:
  1. Place the uncooked shrimp or chicken in a medium bowl.
  2. Add paprika, 3 cloves of garlic, and pepper, coating the shrimp or chicken evenly.
Cooking Shrimp/Chicken:
  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the coated uncooked shrimp or chicken.
  2. Stir constantly while cooking until no longer pink, about 10 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and set aside.
Combining Ingredients:
  1. In a large bowl, combine the cooked pasta, shrimp/chicken, and sauce mixture.
  2. Toss well to coat everything evenly.

Notes

You can substitute the mayo with plain yogurt, heavy cream, cream cheese, or even sour cream.
