Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Halve the pears and scoop out the core, making a small well for the filling.
Cooking
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter until bubbly.
- Add the mixed berries and walnuts to the skillet, stirring gently to combine.
- Spoon the berry and nut mixture into the pear halves, packing them gently.
- Sprinkle crumbled blue cheese over each filled pear, then drizzle honey on top.
- Arrange the pears in a baking dish and pour a splash of water into the bottom of the dish to help steam the pears.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until they are tender and slightly caramelized.
Serving
- Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh thyme if desired, and serve warm.
