Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Lightly grease a baking dish that can comfortably fit the chicken breasts in a single layer.
  3. In a medium bowl, mix together the Dijon mustard, honey, olive oil, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes until well blended.
  4. Place the chicken breasts into the greased baking dish, then pour the honey Dijon mixture over the top, ensuring each piece is well coated.
  5. Put the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 74°C).
  6. Remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in the honey Dijon mixture for a few hours (or overnight) before baking. For a crispy finish, broil the chicken for the last 2-3 minutes of cooking. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3-4 days or frozen for up to three months.
