  • 1 cup brown sugar Adjust sweetness to your preference.
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion Fresh or frozen onion can be used.
  • 1/4 cup cooked bacon or ham Optional; can substitute with other meats.
  • 1 tablespoon mustard Adds tangy flavor.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Season to your preference.

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the baked beans, brown sugar, ketchup, chopped onion, cooked bacon or ham (if using), mustard, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour the mixture into a baking dish.
Cooking
  1. Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until heated through and bubbly.
  2. Alternatively, for slow cooking, combine all ingredients and cook on low for 4-6 hours or high for 2-3 hours.

Notes
