  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs Add one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Dry Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
Additional Ingredients
  • 1 cup chocolate chips You can experiment with different types of chocolate chips.

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a cake pan.
  2. Cream the softened butter and sugar together in a mixing bowl until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the Baileys Irish Cream until well blended.
Mixing
  1. In another bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Gradually add the dry mixture into the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  3. Fold in the chocolate chips.
Baking
  1. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan, smoothing the top.
  2. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  3. Let the cake cool before serving to allow flavors to meld.
