  • 6 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled Use leftover bacon or any cooked meat.
  • 1 cup sweet onion, thinly sliced Sauté until caramelized.
  • 2 cups fresh tomatoes, diced
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (e.g., sharp cheddar or mozzarella) Feel free to experiment with different types of cheese.
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs (optional, e.g., basil or thyme) Can be added during assembly for extra flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the bacon until crispy, then remove and crumble.
  3. In the same skillet, add the sliced onions and sauté until caramelized.
  4. In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, heavy cream, salt, and pepper.
  5. Arrange the caramelized onions, diced tomatoes, crumbled bacon, and shredded cheese in the pre-baked pie crust.
  6. Pour the egg mixture over the filling until just covered.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the filling is set and the top is golden brown.
  2. Allow to cool slightly before slicing and serve warm.
