  • 2 cups cooked white rice Can substitute with brown rice or cauliflower rice.
  • 1 lb ground beef Opt for lean ground beef to minimize excess fat.
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt & pepper to taste Be generous with seasoning.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 medium tomato, diced
  • 4 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled
Optional Garnishes
  • chopped pickles For additional flavor.
  • green onions For added freshness.

Method
 

Cooking
  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, seasoning with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Divide the cooked rice between serving bowls.
  3. Spoon the cooked beef over the rice. Sprinkle the diced tomato, then cover everything with shredded cheddar cheese.
  4. Use the microwave to heat for 30 seconds or until the cheese has melted. Alternatively, you can broil briefly for a golden finish.
  5. Finish with crumbled bacon and your choice of optional toppings. Serve hot and enjoy!
