  • 2 pieces eggs for glazing
  • 4 slices Bacon (preferably crispy) use turkey bacon for a lighter option if desired
  • 1 cup mild cheddar cheese grated; for gooey goodness
  • 1 sheet ready-made puff pastry thawed as per package instructions

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Start by cutting the puff pastry sheet into four equal squares.
  2. Grate the mild cheddar cheese and divide it evenly among the squares, placing it in the center.
  3. Layer 2 or 3 slices of bacon over the cheese.
  4. Fold the corners of each pastry square over the filling, pinching to seal.
  5. In a small bowl, beat the eggs and brush the mixture over the tops of the turnovers for a beautiful glaze.
Cooking
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 180°C (356°F).
  2. Air fry the turnovers for 12 minutes.
  3. Carefully turn the turnovers over and fry for an additional 1 minute to achieve a crispy bottom.
