Ingredients
  

For the Apple Filling
  • 4 Granny Smith apples, peeled and chopped into small pieces Feel free to experiment with different apple varieties.
  • 1.5 cups water
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup corn starch
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
For the Orange Rolls
  • 2 packages Pillsbury™ Orange Rolls (8 count each)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F and lightly spray a muffin pan with non-stick spray. Set aside.
  2. Peel and core the Granny Smith apples, then chop them into small pieces.
  3. In a medium saucepan, combine water, sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Heat over low to medium until it begins to boil, stirring constantly.
  4. Once the mixture thickens (about 3-4 minutes), add the chopped apples and mix thoroughly.
  5. Allow the apple mixture to simmer for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. While the apples cook, sprinkle a bit of flour on a cutting board. Unroll each orange roll and gently roll it out using a rolling pin. Fit each rolled out piece into a muffin cup in your prepared pan.
  7. Spoon the apple filling into the center of each orange roll.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 14-16 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven and drizzle with the provided orange icing after allowing them to cool slightly. Enjoy warm!
