Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F and lightly spray a muffin pan with non-stick spray. Set aside.
- Peel and core the Granny Smith apples, then chop them into small pieces.
- In a medium saucepan, combine water, sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Heat over low to medium until it begins to boil, stirring constantly.
- Once the mixture thickens (about 3-4 minutes), add the chopped apples and mix thoroughly.
- Allow the apple mixture to simmer for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- While the apples cook, sprinkle a bit of flour on a cutting board. Unroll each orange roll and gently roll it out using a rolling pin. Fit each rolled out piece into a muffin cup in your prepared pan.
- Spoon the apple filling into the center of each orange roll.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 14-16 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and drizzle with the provided orange icing after allowing them to cool slightly. Enjoy warm!
