  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice To prevent browning of apples.
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
For the Cobbler Topping
  • 1/2 cup flour Can substitute with gluten-free flour.
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup milk

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, toss the sliced apples with lemon juice, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg until evenly mixed.
  3. Transfer the apple mixture to a greased baking dish.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt, then stir in the melted butter and milk until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter over the apples, ensuring they are mostly covered.
Baking
  1. Place the dish in the oven and bake for approximately 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the apples are tender.
  2. Allow it to cool slightly before serving.
